GOLDEN GLIMPSES OF ST. GEROSA SCHOOL
On Jan 16.2014 St. Gerosa school inaugurated its golden Jubilee year. The programme was commenced
by a prayer service. Rev. Sr.Matilda monteiro, provincial Superior, Sisters of charity, Mangalore who
presided over the function unvailed the Logo of golden jubilee and invited us to sow the seeds of
education in order to reap the harvest in hundred fold.
Rev. Fr. Bonaventure Nazareth Parish Priest of St. Vincent Ferrer church Velencia was the chief guest
of the day. Mrs Jacintha Alfred corporator Falnir ward -39, Sr. Grace Joseph.P. Secretary to educational
society Sistrs of Charity Mangalore, Mrs. Philomena Tauro the first teacher of the school were the guests
of honour.
Sr Marcelline Braggs the correspondent of the school, Sr. Emma Aranha the headmistress of the high school,
Mrs. Ida Sequeira and Mrs. Jean Crasta the Vice presidents of P.T.A and GEXSA escorted the guests.
Sr. Marcelline Braggs welcome the gathering. Sr. Emma Aranha read out the various programmes of the
Golden Jubliee year. Teacher Nimitha proposed the vote of thanks. Teachers Marie vas and Molly D’Sousa
led the programme of the day. Our vibrant students captivated the audience through their multi- talents
with colourful attire. The inaugural function concluded with the school anthem.
